Project Mission
Project Rockforge is a 283-acre data center campus proposed on Irwin Bridge Road in Conyers, Georgia. The development will bring Rockdale County one of its largest single taxpayers generating an estimated +$50M in annual ad valorem revenue while creating 200+ high-wage jobs and placing zero new burden on schools, parks, or social services.

Project Highlights
CLOSED-LOOP WATER SYSTEM
Rockforge uses a closed-loop cooling design. Water enters the system once and recirculates for years — the campus draws only ~4,000 gallons per day in makeup water for the entire site. No discharge to the Yellow River or local waterways.
TAX REVENUE IMPACT
$50-60M per year at full deployment across all 7 buildings. ~$500M cumulative over 10 years to Rockdale County — split between the school district (~$30M/yr) and county government (~$27M/yr).
SITE PLAN & BUFFERS
Rockforge creates 300+ permanent tech and operations positions averaging strong wages, plus thousands of construction jobs during the phased 2030–2033 buildout. No comparable job creation comes with a residential subdivision.
300+ PERMANENT JOBS
225 ft total residential setback: 125 ft of undisturbed natural buffer plus 100 ft building setback. 54% of the 283-acre site preserved as forest and greenspace. Site plan revised in direct response to community feedback.
THE ROCKFORGE ADVANTAGE
A once-in-a-generation commercial investment that is delivering extraordinary fiscal returns to Rockdale County with minimal impact on community infrastructure, neighborhoods, or natural resources.
WHAT IF WE DON'T REZONE?
REZONE?Current CRS zoning permits up to 400 single-family homes which adds burden on local school systems, 3,000–4,000 daily vehicle trips, and decades of public service cost to Rockdale County.
54% GREENSPACE PRESERVED
Over half the 283-acre site stays as undisturbed forest, old-growth canopy, and natural stream buffers. All stream corridors fully protected.
4,000 GALLONS/DAY — TOTAL CAMPUS
The closed-loop system is filled once and recirculates. Total daily water makeup for the entire campus is ~4,000 gallons — less than a fraction of what 400 homes would consume daily.
TRANSFORMATIONAL IMPACT
Rockforge represents a $5 billion private investment in Rockdale County, a large cumulative tax revenue increase, 300+ permanent jobs, and a generational shift in the county's commercial tax base.
